Groovy sunshine beats and virtuosic jazzy horns come together in Sunbörn (formerly KutiMangoes), in an innovative, global sound that bridges cultures. The band has released 5 albums, won 4 Danish Grammys - most recently for best live band - and their welcoming music has found listeners around the world. Their music moves elegantly through the boundaries of jazz, fusion and global music - incorporating acoustic, hand-played equilibrism, jazzy arrangements and modern electronic sounds.
On Sunbörns latest album they join forces with acclaimed Italian producer/DJ Clap! Clap! (Paul Simon, Warp) for a boundary-blurring new album “Earth is Begging”. Releasing on on UK label WahWah45s, the project is a vibrant celebration of global culture and sonic fusion with guests such as Dele Sosimi (UK/NG), Carolina Lelis (BR), and Etuk Ubong (NG). The album has been very well received with regular airplay on BBC, JazzFM, DR, Worldwide FM France, Polish National Radio.
